World's #1 luxury empire Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has recently created the new premium product - Scotch whisky Ardbeg Corryvreckan. This will be a single malt whisky of 57.1% abv, available on global markets in off-trade and online for US$97, starting from 21 September.

Corryvreckan is also the name of a strait and Europe's largest (world's second largest) whirlpool. It lies near Jura and Islay, Ardbeg's island home.

In Scottish mythology the hag goddess of winter, Cailleach Bheur, uses Corryvreckan to wash her great plaid. This mythologic approach was taken for the visual identity of the brand. Please see below Ardbeg's teasing video for Corryvreckan (see Ardbeg.com for more videos...) :
