Japanese whisky AKASHI & TOKINOKA - the White Oak distillery.
A comfortable ride of one hour by train from the heart of the city of Kobe will take you almost to the door of the distillery, White Oak, Eigashima, located in the city of Akashi. Whiskey distillery is producing since 1919 in the traditional way and in small amounts, when the production company's main focus on beverages emblematic of Japan - sake and Sochua.

Although the distillery was founded in 1888, whiskey production began only partially in 1919, and the actual process of distillation has taken place only when the company built a new factory in 1984, a modern unit specifically dedicated to the production of malt whiskey. Before then all the whiskey that was produced was used in a variety of mixtures known as White Oak.

While she exuded a variety of Blends, in 2007 White Oak debuted in the industry by producing its first single malt. The quantities available are quite low for export, particularly in its older versions ... but soon on LandofWhisky / TerritoireWhisky.
