Whisky BOWMORE Enigma aged 12 years.

A very pleasant dram... Enigma is a 12 year-old originally bottled for travel retail, and boasts a higher proportion of sherry-matured malt. Unsual expression of Bowmore, as a greater amount of fresh sherry casks have been used over its twelve years of maturation; this produces a much richer and sweeter style of the classic Bowmore malt whisky.

With the nose :

The classic Bowmore smokiness is infused with sweet sherry and hints of heater honey.

Initial sweet sherry flavours are followed by a more robust smokiness with a trace of fresh lemon zest.

The finish is beautifully balanced sweet peat smoke with a hint a sea salt.
